Lisa Dean, LICSW

Lisa Katerman Dean is a new addition to team at Arlington Pediatrics. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and has more than 8 years of experience working with kids and families. In 2012, Lisa received her Master’s in Social Work and moved to Boston for a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital in Child Psychiatry, where she worked both in the Outpatient setting and in the Emergency Department. Lisa then joined the Boston Children’s Hospital Neighborhood Partnership (BCHNP) program, which places clinicians in Boston Public Schools. During her 5 years with BCHNP, Lisa worked at a middle school in Jamaica Plain and a K through 8 school in Dorchester. While working in the schools, Lisa provided individual treatment for students, led multiple student groups (including chill skills, social skills, and anger management), provided mental health trainings for staff and parents, supported families in navigating IEP and 504 plans, and provided crisis response and management. Lisa loves working with kids and families and she is thrilled to be a part of the team at APA!
